My story
Hi, I’m Katie Dove, founder of the Doveline Team - I began my career in travel at Saga Holidays, straight from college, and then moved into various other careers - working in local government, property management and development, and then quit the corporate world to become my own boss as a Personal Trainer and setup a home-based fitness business.
During Covid I had to move my fitness business online and what started as something small became the start of my love for an online, flexible job that I could run from home in my own time, on my own terms.
In October 2021, during a very difficult time in our lives, I decided to start my online travel business alongside my successful fitness business. Covid had already taught me that I could set up and run a startup business from scratch, and that I had the knowledge, passion, and determination to be successful at both. And at that time I needed to do something for me that kept me busy and gave me something to enjoy and focus on.
When life… lifes
Life dealt us some pretty big blows… and devastatingly we lost our beautiful daughter Evie to brain cancer in March 2022.
Determined to not allow what happened to our family define me I made the decision, to stop my PT and fitness business, and focus on my travel business full time - and I have not looked back.
Incredibly, I now have a team of almost 1000 individuals from all walks of life (between the ages of 18 to 76!), who all use and enjoy this platform differently. Some use this just to travel more and earn and save on their own travel, others use this to book travel for others and some run a super side business alongside their other jobs and comittments.
Alongside this, I now also run our Airbnb and our charity The Evie Dove Foundation set up in memory of our daughter Evie.
The Evie Dove Foundation
In April 2021, our beautiful 12 year old daughter Evie was diagnosed with a brain tumour, and over the next eleven months she, and we as a family, battled through brain surgeries, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and cutting-edge immunotherapy.
Her spirit, humour and love of life never waned, but despite moving mountains, we could not save her.
As her legacy, she inspired us and our trustees to set up ‘The Evie Dove Foundation’, to sponsor and support the further education of medical professionals in paediatric care - to go on and help thousands of children in the future and save many more precious lives.
Through The Foundation's work, we seek purpose and to honour our beautiful Evie and all she stood for - to be kind and care for others.
Beyond proud…
Since losing our beautiful Evie we, and so many of our wonderful friends, family, colleagues, volunteers and complete strangers, have worked tirelessly raising money for our incredible Foundation, and we have gone on to raise over £350,000 in her name, sponsoring over 134 paediatricians to advance their careers helping sick children and saving young lives.
We are beyond proud of what we have achieved and I know Evie will be watching down on us, proud as punch about what we are achieving in her name and we will continue to do so!
Like our Foundation’s collaboration with Code 8 Beauty, who gave us the opportunity to develop a lipstick that Evie would have loved! Code8 donate 20% of the profit of every Evie Dove Bespoke Lipstick sold to the Foundation.
Freedom rooted in purpose
In just under three and a half years, I’ve built a legacy business that has completely transformed our family’s future. What started as a side income has grown into a six-figure (and steadily growing) residual income stream - one that now supports us and is willable to my son, Teddy. It’s become our financial foundation, my retirement plan, and a source of generational wealth I never imagined I'd be able to create.
It’s also allowed my husband to retire, and for me to step fully into the role of main income provider - something I carry with immense pride.
But beyond the income, this journey has gifted me something even greater: freedom. Freedom to travel more than ever before. Freedom to work from anywhere. Freedom to build my days around what matters most.
One of the most rewarding parts has been mentoring and supporting others to step into their own version of success through this business, and I do it alongside an incredibly supportive team that lifts one another up, celebrates the wins, and brings joy into the everyday.
I’ve helped four of the team reach Director level - a milestone that reflects not only an income level, but personal growth, alongside five more who are Directors-in-Training, actively building their own legacies and shaping businesses that reflect their values, goals, and aspirations.
This isn’t just about building income. It’s about building confidence, capacity and communities who lift each other higher - because the most meaningful success is helping others succeed too.
What we’ve created doesn’t feel like work. It feels like purpose. As they say, if you “find a job you love, you will never have to work a day in your life." And the best part? We’re only just getting started.
