A Dream Delivered: Dubai in Style
Some trips you plan. Others you manifest.
Dubai had been sitting quietly in the back of my mind since the Directors’ Retreat - when I spent the most magical day sailing on a yacht, looking back at the dazzling skyline and the gleaming Atlantis The Royal. In that moment, I promised myself: One day, I’ll stay there. Not just visit, not just imagine - but actually be there, checking in, key in hand, view and all.
Inspired, I doubled down on my business and a year later I turned that daydream into reality.
Howard and Teddie had absolutely no idea. I planned the whole thing in secret, right down to the flight times and rooftop reservations. It felt so special to finally reveal it (at the airport!) and even more so to experience it together. After working hard building my business, and carving out space for what truly matters, it felt like one of those "wow, I did it" moments.
And wow, did we.
Atlantis The Royal: Checking into a Dream
From the moment we stepped through the doors of Atlantis The Royal, I knew this was a whole new level of luxury. It’s hard to put into words - but it was, without question, the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in.
Every inch of the hotel whispers luxury - but not in a loud or ostentatious way. It’s all in the exquisite details. Sculptural architecture that draws the eye. Pools that seem to spill into the sky. Art installations and curated design touches that stop you mid-step. And everywhere, a calm and polished energy that instantly makes you feel both special and entirely at ease.
Our suite was nothing short of spectacular. Walls of glass opened onto a private terrace with an uninterrupted view of the Arabian Gulf, where every sunrise felt like it had been choreographed to be more spectacular than the day before. From the plush bedding and cloud-like robes to the hi-tech touches and generous marble bathroom, it was five-star living in every sense of the word.
Even Teddy (who’s seen his fair share of incredible places) declared it “next level”, and he was right.
The service deserves its own standing ovation. Every member of staff we met was intuitive, kind, and genuinely passionate about making each moment memorable. Whether it was the welcome drinks on arrival, the perfectly-timed towel deliveries by the pool, or the gentle good mornings at breakfast - everything felt effortless yet deeply thoughtful.
Waterpark Fun + Beach Club Sun
Our days were a sun-soaked dream. Morning runs along the waterfront - not yet too hot, still calm. Followed by the most spectacular breakfast I’ve ever had (you’ll want to go back for a second breakfast, trust me). Then it was sunshine, slides and serious fun at the Atlantis Waterpark - a full-on hit with the boys (and even me!).
Perched on level 22, Cloud 22 is the glittering rooftop infinity pool and bar at Atlantis The Royal - the perfect spot to sip espresso by day and cocktails by sunset. The club’s sleek sun loungers, plush cabanas with plunge pools, and jaw-dropping view over Palm Jumeirah and the Arabian Gulf make it feel like floating above the skyline. We spent sun-filled mornings here, drifting between pool dips and thoughtfully crafted beverages - imagine lobster crudo and wagyu sliders served with effortless ease . By night, the space evolved into a glamorous lounge, and we couldn't resist raising a glass as the city lights began to twinkle below. Cloud 22 perfectly balanced elegance with excitement - a refined oasis that feels special, yet utterly relaxed.
Evenings were for getting dressed up and soaking in that glamorous Dubai energy. Our favourite? Ling Ling - incredible food, stylish crowd, and cocktails that made us pause mid-sip just to appreciate. We had one of our standout moments was dinner here, perched high above the skyline. The vibe is sleek and electric, with a pan-Asian menu that’s bold, delicious, and full of surprises. Every course was a delight - beautifully plated, flavourful, and memorable. We sipped cocktails that made us pause mid-sip just to appreciate, laughed our way through stories from the day, and took a moment to just appreciate the magic of it all. It wasn’t just a meal - it was a celebration.
The Power of Possibility
Atlantis The Royal isn’t just a hotel. It’s a destination in itself - the kind of place that redefines what exceptional hospitality means and leaves you forever spoiled for anything less. And this trip wasn’t just about ticking off a bucket list hotel (although we did that, in style). It was about the deeper magic that comes from setting a goal, working toward it, and one day looking around and realising - you’re living it.
I truly believe this kind of travel is possible for anyone. With focus, passion and a little belief in your own potential, you can build a life that’s rich in moments like this.
